About this role

AcadeMedia creates opportunities for people to develop. Our 17,600 employees across more than 660 preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, and adult education programs share a common focus on quality and development. All 182,000 children, students, and adult learners who attend our institutions in a year should receive an education of such high quality that they achieve the educational goals and have the conditions they need to reach their full potential. We are Northern Europe's largest educational company with operations in Sweden, Norway, and Germany. Our size creates security and provides us with the conditions to be a long-term and stable educational actor that contributes to the common societal development. AcadeMedia's adult education programs are conducted under Hermods, Eductus, KompetensUtvecklingsInstitutet, NTI-skolan, Movant, Plushögskolan, KYH, EC Utbildning, Sälj- och marknadshögskolan, Linguista, The Game Assembly, CME, and Framtidsutveckling. These operations offer courses ranging from Swedish for immigrants (SFI) and vocational Swedish to healthcare and secondary adult education at a distance. There are also vocational training programs in areas such as construction, plumbing, IT, marketing, and logistics. What they all have in common is the mission to help people enter the labor market, primarily through education but also through initiatives such as support and matching in collaboration with employment agencies and the business community. About the Position As a teacher in adult education, your task is to lead and teach students from many countries and cultures. Your responsibilities include planning, documenting, and implementing education in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Swedish National Agency for Education's curricula and within Eductus, as well as continuously supporting the students. The position may also suit someone who is currently in teacher training and wants to work extra a couple of evenings a week. • You have experience in teaching SFI and Swedish as a second language to adults, preferably across various study paths. • You use digital tools in your teaching and are interested in developing your skills in this area. • You find it interesting to teach different types of individuals and thrive in a dynamic and goal-oriented environment where everyone works towards the same objectives and supports each other. • You are skilled at organizing and planning your time and are motivated by supporting and leading people. • You possess excellent patience, strong commitment, and good interpersonal skills. • You are a team player with a strong ability to build trusting relationships with both students and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. It is an advantage if you speak multiple languages. Your Personal Qualities We would like you to be outgoing, flexible, open to change, solution-oriented, and possess a holistic view while also having an eye for detail. We value personal qualities such as creativity, collaboration skills, and a willingness to develop the organization. We Offer You We offer a developing work environment where there are many career paths within AcadeMedia. Through our development work, you will be challenged and grow. As an employee with us, you have the opportunity for professional development through AcadeMedia Academy as well as internal and external professional growth.
