Server at O'Learys Kalmar About the Position: Your primary role as a server at O'Learys Kalmar is to ensure that our guests have a fantastic experience when they visit us. This means always having full focus on the guests, welcoming and attending to each guest, being responsive and helpful, and professionally addressing the guests' requests! You will assist guests to their tables, present the menu and take orders, serve food and drinks, and provide excellent service throughout their visit with us. Responsibilities include: • Serve food and drinks according to the service sequence • Welcome and greet guests with a smile, show them to their tables or activities in the absence of the head waiter • Be responsible for presenting the menu and offerings to guests • Ensure guests receive the best possible service and overall experience • Take orders via iPad and deliver accurate tickets to the kitchen • Adhere to alcohol laws and check identification for guests under 25 years of age • Process payments from guests and issue receipts upon completion of the sale • Alert a supervisor or security personnel if a guest has consumed too much alcohol or creates an inappropriate atmosphere • Actively drive the sales of add-ons and upselling such as dips, appetizers, drinks, and desserts • Inform our guests about our activities and other offerings in a friendly and welcoming manner • Prepare and set up the venue before opening/closing and diligently follow routine checklists and service manuals • Clear tables, clean, and collect dishes and trash, placing them in designated areas • Ensure service stations are well-organized and stocked • Support all areas of the restaurant such as dishwashing, greeting, activities, kitchen, bar, and nightclub • Leave iPads, cash registers, and card terminals in good condition and ensure cash registers balance Desired Experience and Characteristics: • At least one year of experience as serving staff in a restaurant/bar with good cash handling skills • Fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and have good knowledge of English • Minimum high school diploma • Relationship-building, resilient under stress, and enjoys working as part of a team • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Problem solver with a focus on creating a great experience for guests • Passion for food, drinks, sports, and people Does this sound like the right fit for you?
