In our unit, we continuously strive to create conditions for job satisfaction and participation for all employees. Currently, the unit has just over 30 employees. The Med-service unit is divided into the following departments: - Department of Property and Security - Department of Technology and Service - Department of Unit Support We are now seeking a new service technician for the Technology and Service department, located at BMC in Lund. A probationary period may apply. The Technology and Service department is responsible for operations in technology and service at the Biomedical Center (BMC, Lund) and Clinical Research Centre (CRC, Malmö). The department is looking for a service technician to complement their team of 16 service technicians and operations engineers. The department's mission is to carry out maintenance, property management, and service delivery according to a delineation list towards both external parties (e.g., property owners) and the faculty's internal operations (e.g., departments). Furthermore, the department conducts inspections, maintenance, and repairs of instruments and equipment according to service agreements with users. The department works with preventive and corrective maintenance and receives fault reports and orders from the operations within its area of responsibility. Read more on the university's website "https://www.lu.se/om-universitetet/jobba-hos-oss" about being employed with us. **Job Responsibilities** As a service technician, you will primarily work with the following tasks: servicing and reporting faults on medical technical equipment, repairing locks, and troubleshooting and repairing door environments. Property management, some handling of goods, fault reporting and orders, some invoice management, gas management, inventory and storage management, and work with the unit's fire plan. The role of service technician involves many contacts and a high degree of service towards the center's operations, largely in collaboration with our other service organization. On-call duty every 5-6 weeks is part of the job, which means that when on call, you must be able to arrive at the workplace within 60 minutes. **Qualifications** The following is required for the position: - Completed education at least at the high school level - At least 5-10 years of work experience as a service technician or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer - Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing - Good computer skills and documented experience with Windows and Microsoft Office - Class B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities. The tasks require you to have good initiative, organizational skills, coordination, and collaboration abilities. It is important that you possess a well-developed sense of service as well as a professional and positive demeanor.
