Our client is a well-established company in weighing and measurement technology that is now expanding and seeking a self-driven service technician based in Jönköping.
As a service technician, you'll work in the field with installation, service, and maintenance of weighing equipment, with a special focus on vehicle scales, weighing equipment, and peripheral equipment such as driver terminals, displays, cameras, and traffic barriers.
This is a flexible and varied job where one day you might be mounting concrete modules and the next day troubleshooting electronics or calibrating sensitive measuring equipment. You'll be based at the office in Jönköping and will have access to a service vehicle. The position involves travel with overnight stays, primarily within southern Sweden.
Your responsibilities:
• Installation and maintenance of weighing systems and associated equipment
• Customer troubleshooting and repair
• Preventive service and calibration
• Documentation and reporting
• Customer contact and on-site technical consulting
This is a direct recruitment, which means StudentConsulting will manage the recruitment process, but you will be employed by our client.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking someone with experience in technical service, preferably from industrial or workshop environments, who enjoys practical, varied work with customers. You have basic technical understanding of mechanics, electricity, and preferably IT/networks, and are accustomed to taking independent responsibility in the field. Furthermore, you are self-driven, solution-oriented, and appreciate a job where you can move around, work physically, and handle both technology and customer contact daily.
To succeed in the role, you need:
• Experience in technical service or maintenance
• Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, and basic IT/networks
• To be self-driven, proactive, and enjoy physical work
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and have basic English skills
• Driving license (B-class) (requirement)
• Good physical condition – heavy lifting is involved
It is advantageous if you also have:
• Technical high school education
• Experience with installation technology, workshop machines, or construction equipment
• Familiarity with technical equipment such as scales, cameras, displays, or terminals
Introduction & Development:
The position begins with a thorough introduction period of 2-5 months, depending on your experience and learning ability. During this time, you will accompany experienced technicians in the field and learn the work from the ground up.
