With new knowledge and perspectives, the University of Gothenburg contributes to a better future. **Job Responsibilities** As a service technician focused on furniture reuse, you will split your working hours between the regular operations at Campus Service Haga and the reuse operations. In your role, you will be an important face of the university as you are often one of the first people that students, visitors, and employees come into contact with. Together with your colleagues in the maintenance and reception teams, you will perform various tasks where the responsibilities and workload vary according to the needs of the operations. In the reuse operations, you will help build a service that can manage inventory, storage, advertising, and transportation of furnishings and furniture across the university. Your responsibilities will include: - Daily supervision of properties and facilities - Setup and support of AV equipment - Repairs and minor refurbishment of furniture, relocations, assembly work, lamp replacements, etc. - Handling of mail, goods, and internal deliveries - Management of recycling - Handling error reports in our case management system - Administrative tasks such as planning smaller projects, for example, relocations - Managing and organizing physical inventory items - Digitally administering and managing orders and inventory flows - Transporting furniture and equipment - Marketing the reuse operations The work is mobile, and some tasks may be physically demanding. You are a vital part of the service operations, and your commitment and problem-solving skills are essential for developing the operations. **Qualifications** Requirements for the position include: - Completed upper secondary education - Good communication skills - At least one year of experience in similar tasks as mentioned above - Practical skills - Knowledge of AV technology, such as setup assistance and troubleshooting in lecture halls - Good computer skills, including proficiency in the Office suite - Proficient in both spoken and written Swedish and English - Experience in warehouse and logistics work - B driver's license (manual) - Experience in managing digital flows, for example, in inventory and logistics management You thrive in an environment with high ambitions where you occasionally need to manage a heavy workload constructively. The job therefore requires flexibility and ongoing prioritization, as well as good planning and organizational skills. Personal qualities such as attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong sense of service and responsibility are highly valued. You enjoy helping those you encounter in your work. You will be a representative of the organization for the reuse operations, and you like meeting people and are good at communicating about what you do. **Meritorious**: - Previous experience in assembling and refurbishing furniture - Knowledge of AV technology, such as setup assistance and troubleshooting in lecture halls - Post-secondary studies relevant to the position - Experience working at a university or college to understand the operations conducted - Experience in service professions or in a role where you collaborate with others - Experience in property service - Experience in administrative work and case management systems **Employment** The position is a permanent full-time role. The placement for the position is currently at Campus Service Haga, within the Service Unit. The start date for the employment is December 15 or by agreement.
