Learn more about our employment benefits and what we can offer you - www.lulea.se/employment The Traffic Installations and Parking Unit is a workplace consisting of employees specialized in different areas including traffic signals, road signs, parking, graffiti removal, stormwater pump stations, and electrical installations. We work on installing, maintaining, and monitoring traffic signals, road signs, and electrical installations. We also conduct regular inspections and repairs of these units to ensure their correct function and operational reliability. Another important part of our work is managing parking. We are responsible for implementing parking rules and regulations to promote a smooth and organized parking situation. This can involve setting up parking signs, marking parking spaces, servicing parking meters/parking houses, issuing parking permits, and monitoring parking rule compliance. In addition, we are also responsible for graffiti removal and stormwater pump stations. We work to keep our urban environments free of graffiti by cleaning, restoring damaged surfaces, and maintaining a clean and safe urban environment. Furthermore, we ensure that stormwater pump stations function correctly and that water drainage from roads works efficiently to prevent flooding. JOB TASKS We are currently seeking a service technician who will primarily work on new installation and maintenance of road signs, directional signage, street name signs, and setting foundations and poles. Maintenance work at stormwater pump stations is also part of the job tasks. You will also work on the unit's other assignments as needed. We work primarily outdoors year-round in all weather conditions. We offer an exciting and interesting job and are a workplace that highly values teamwork. On-call service is included. QUALIFICATIONS You have education in ground and construction work at high school level or equivalent experience from the ground and/or construction industry. The following are meritorious: • Several years of experience with similar work tasks • Practical work with traffic installations in road environments • Practical work with paving • Practical work with stormwater stations • Electrical training equivalent to authorization B • Road work • Chainsaw certification We are looking for someone who wants to work physically and enjoys being outdoors. As a person, you are solution-oriented and collaborate well with others. You should have the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and contractors.
