The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society becomes safer for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand centers, and client transportation.
JOB DUTIES
As a service technician, you will work with your colleagues to be responsible for internal property maintenance in accordance with the current demarcation list with the landlord and based on local job descriptions. The position requires close cooperation with prison service personnel, the landlord, and external contractors, which demands high collaboration skills. The work tasks are varied, so you need to be unpretentious in your professional role. This includes handling various service and repair assignments, preventive and corrective maintenance. Administrative work such as handling error reports and orders is included, so we are looking for someone with good administrative experience. The work may also involve changing locks and working with door automation.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking someone who is self-driven, structured, and takes great responsibility for their tasks. An open-minded approach, good collaboration skills, and high service orientation are required as the position involves many personal contacts both within and outside the Prison Service. You have good administrative skills and take responsibility for your tasks, planning, organizing, and prioritizing work efficiently.

We are seeking candidates who have:
• Complete high school education or other education combined with work experience that the Prison Service deems relevant
• 2 years of work experience focused on property management
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills
• Class B driver's license
It is meritorious if you have:
• Post-secondary education, preferably in operations/maintenance or other education deemed relevant by the employer
• Experience with fire protection work/facility management
• Experience with electrically controlled doors and door locks
• Forklift certification
• Scissor lift certification
