Together, the unit offers expert support and delivers services to the entire university. Campus services are provided based on the geographical areas where the University of Gothenburg operates. Within campus services, there is consolidated expertise in areas such as facility services, custodial services, technical services, conference services, and mail handling. Campus Service Lorensberg primarily provides services to the operational areas and properties located in the Lorensberg and Vasa areas, namely the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts, the Faculty of Humanities, and surrounding operations. **Job Responsibilities** As a service technician at the University of Gothenburg, you are an important face of the university as you often interact with students, visitors, and staff. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to the success of the operations by performing a variety of tasks tailored to current needs. The role includes, among other things, working with: • Daily supervision of properties and facilities. • Repairs, relocations, assembly work, lamp replacements, etc. • Handling of mail, goods, and internal deliveries. • Management of recycling. • Receiving requests and managing fault reports in our case management system. • Providing startup assistance for AV technology in teaching rooms. • Management of locks, keys, and access cards. **Qualifications** The following qualifications are required for the position: • Completed upper secondary education or equivalent. • B driver's license. • Good ability to perform practical tasks. • Proficient in both spoken and written Swedish and English. • Good computer skills and experience with planning and feedback through digital tools. • Strong communication skills. The job therefore requires flexibility and ongoing prioritization, as well as good planning and organizational skills. Personal qualities such as attention to detail, teamwork ability, and a strong sense of service and responsibility are highly valued. **Meritorious**: • Post-secondary studies relevant to the position. • Experience working in property services. • Experience in other service professions such as conference or hotel operations. • Experience in administrative work and case management systems. • Experience leading smaller projects. • Knowledge of AV technology. **Employment** The position is a temporary appointment with a scope of 50%. Start date for the temporary position is by agreement, and the employment is ongoing but no later than May 31, 2026. An extension may occur.
