About the Workplace
Operations Service is part of the Service Administration in Ale Municipality.
The Service Administration is tasked with providing high-quality service to Ale Municipality's core operations in a professional and resource-efficient manner. All employees in Ale Municipality are colleagues. We benefit from being close to each other, we want the best for each other, and we help each other improve. In Operations Service and its three service units, we continuously develop our operations and work cost-effectively without compromising quality. Our goal is to deliver service-oriented tasks to facilitate daily work for our core operations. Service units include service tasks (cleaning and caretaking services), vehicle management, and internal mail delivery. We believe competence is key to success and want to be an employer that promotes development and professional pride among our employees.
The operation consists of approximately 90 facilities and around 80 employees. As a service employee, you may be part of a service team, work independently at a specific location, or in our vehicle patrol.

Job Responsibilities
In daily work, you will perform service tasks with your colleagues across various municipal facilities such as preschools, schools, sports halls, special housing, and administrative office spaces. You will be part of a team with equivalent tasks and managers with extensive knowledge in the field. We ensure quality in our work and continuously develop our competencies.
Daily work largely consists of a planned schedule with diverse tasks. We also work based on cases received through our digital case management system, which requires flexibility and the ability to plan your day according to emerging needs. As this is a new position, you will have the opportunity to influence the work's design.
As a service employee, high collaboration skills with colleagues in the unit and other operations are essential. Your tasks may include:
- Facility cleaning
- Setting up inventory
- Floor maintenance
- Inventory maintenance/repair
- Transporting furniture, bulky waste, etc.
- Window cleaning
- Moving cleaning
- High-altitude cleaning
- Furniture rearrangement
- Various services in staff areas, including dishwasher emptying and recycling
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, service-oriented attitude, flexibility, and passion for service work!
You should have previous experience with cleaning and caretaking services. We seek someone with a strong interest in service work, who is self-driven and solution-focused. You are flexible, independent, confident, and not afraid to make quick decisions within your service employee role.
Basic computer skills and excellent Swedish language skills (spoken and written) are required. A valid B driver's license is preferred.
As the work involves contact with children, a criminal record check will be required upon job offer.
Other Details
Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday. Interviews will be conducted throughout the application period.
