About this role

Job Description: Kitchen Assistant/Conference Host (50%) You are flexible, social, and want to help develop our restaurant and conference operations under the guidance of the head chef and school management. As we are a small workplace, you will need to step in where needed. Your main tasks involve preparing and serving lunch for approximately 250 course participants and conference guests, along with occasional breakfast, coffee breaks, and other meals. Work duties also include preparing conferences and ensuring guests receive high-quality service that encourages them to return. We place significant emphasis on social skills, as a large part of the work involves interacting with participants and conference guests. As a kitchen/conference staff member, you represent the restaurant and conference services, requiring a solid sense of service and ability to anticipate needs. You must love meeting and taking care of our participants and guests. We expect great commitment and curiosity for various tasks, from dishwashing to chopping vegetables or welcoming conference guests. As this is a part-time position, work hours are primarily during lunch on weekdays, but work may occasionally be required in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. Work Tasks: • Prepare and serve food for school participants and guests under the head chef's guidance • Prepare and serve breakfast, coffee, lunch, or dinner for conferences and events • Distribute work between cold kitchen, dishwashing, dining room, and conference operations • Represent the restaurant and conference services, providing guests with an excellent experience • Receive and assist lunch and conference guests, creating a pleasant dining environment • Collaborate with service functions to prepare conferences and offer high-quality guest service Qualifications: • Experience in kitchen work, conference hosting, or serving • Service-oriented, proactive, and enjoy interactions with colleagues and guests • Flexible and able to adapt to organizational needs • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment • Strong collaboration and communication skills • Good physical condition (involves heavy lifting and fast-paced work) • Excellent Swedish language skills • Basic IT skills (email, calendars, ordering systems) Start Date: January 5, 2026, or by agreement.
