About the Role

We are looking for our next Service Manager in Arendal, who, together with our knowledgeable and dedicated employees, will represent one of the world's strongest brands, where proud and demanding customers are part of your daily routine.
Scania Sverige AB, Region West, is responsible for the market in northern Halland, Sjuhäradsbygden, and the Gothenburg region. We have operational sites in Gothenburg, Borås, and Himle. We offer our customers first-class products along with associated service and service offerings.
Your Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to develop and lead the workshop's operations and activities to maximize customer and employee satisfaction. For the Service Manager, caring for and developing customer relationships is a natural part of daily life, and our service should instill great confidence in our customers.
You are responsible for shaping your management team, recruiting and planning personnel, and developing a strong, sustainable team that works towards set goals. You own the business results and are responsible for operational management; forecasting, results, and follow-up. The Service Manager is also responsible for the safety, health, and working environment of the operations.
The role includes participating in an operational management team alongside representatives from vehicle sales, and you will be part of the management group for Scania Region West, contributing to the overall business and development of the region. The operational site in Arendal currently has 28 employees, both unionized and salaried staff. The operations in Arendal also include a collision repair workshop.
Your Profile
We believe that results are achieved through people and present leadership. You are therefore a team player who possesses a good ability to create and maintain relationships while having a strong drive and interest in excellent customer service and business.
Your leadership is clear, and you have the ability to work both operationally and strategically, with a focus on the operational side. To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with experience in the service market, with an interest in the overall business. This role includes leading and coaching both workshop and administrative staff.
A significant focus is on expanding service sales and growing service offerings for trailers, superstructures, and spare parts.
Education and/or Work Experience:
* Documented management/leadership experience
* Good knowledge of the heavy truck and bus industry
* Experience from dealerships within the heavy vehicle industry is highly meritorious
* Communicates well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
* A valid B driver's license is required; C and/or D licenses are advantageous
