Gnutti Carlo Sweden AB develops and manufactures complex precision components and subsystems for engines and power transmission. We are part of a global group with strong market positions in the commercial vehicle industry. We are now seeking a Maintenance Technician in Automation for our factory in Kungsör.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will work both independently and with colleagues to ensure our production equipment operates optimally. You will be a central part of our daily maintenance work, collaborating closely with production, engineering, and other support functions.
You will make independent daily decisions, participate in maintenance activities during major interventions, and drive preventive maintenance efforts to minimize unplanned downtime.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and restore advanced electrical functional errors on production equipment, facilities, and process systems.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs and restoration of equipment and machines.
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to current procedures and compile action lists after completed work.
• Participate in group efforts during major maintenance interventions.
• Work on both urgent interventions and long-term improvement activities.
• Program and adjust NC and PLC systems.
• Perform technical analyses through structured troubleshooting, including methods like "5 Whys" and root cause analyses for corrective maintenance.
• Read and interpret technical drawings (design drawings, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams, electrical diagrams, PLC and NC programs).
• Report in our maintenance system (time reporting, action description, root cause analysis, etc.).
You will work across several technical areas including mechanics, electrical, robotics, PLC, and NC.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure work complies with current legislation, quality and environmental policies, and internal guidelines.
• Contribute to orderliness (5S) within the department.
• Escalate urgent downtime to relevant functions as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• High school education in automation or equivalent technical orientation.
• Minimum 5 years of similar maintenance experience in industry.
• Experience with electrical maintenance and automation work.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Good computer skills.
Preferred:
• Good ability to plan and work systematically.
