Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager – Mechanical & Piping (Balance of Plant Systems) to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
• Oversee all aspects of mechanical and piping disciplines within Balance of Plant systems, including water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, fire systems, and compressed air plants.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, technical standards, project requirements, and safety objectives while maintaining alignment with budget and schedule.
• Collaborate closely with Plant Unit Project Managers, Construction Managers, and other cross-functional Technical Project Managers to achieve seamless integration of mechanical and piping activities.
• Manage contractors and suppliers, including engineering partners, OEMs, and construction partners, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Monitor project progress, costs, and performance, identifying and mitigating technical risks proactively.
• Support procurement processes with technical input and participate in contract evaluations and negotiations.
• Review and approve technical deliverables to ensure they meet project and quality standards.
• Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to maintain alignment with plant unit goals and project milestones.
• Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned and implementing best practices.
• Track progress, manage documentation, and report discipline-related updates to Project and Technical Discipline Managers.
• Evaluate and manage change requests, ensuring their impact on scope, cost, and schedule is properly assessed and controlled.
• Promote process optimization, efficiency, and cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
What you bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design, construction, and installation of mechanical and piping systems within industrial projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and piping systems and familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Proven experience in project management, contractor supervision, and cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities with a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and progress tracking.
