Senior System Developer - Backend & Vehicle Technology

Are you interested in shaping the future of transport solutions through innovative system development? We are now seeking a Senior System Developer for our Backend & Vehicle Technology team. About the Role: In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with our newly developed system that manages enormous amounts of data in a cloud-based SQL database. You will be responsible for database optimization and setup, and will be a central part of further developing the system, which has already played a crucial role in Nobina's traffic technology over the past three years. Here you will work with TDS – a critical system for collecting, managing, and analyzing real-time traffic data. You will work closely with the IoT team to ensure that correct data reaches our real-time systems, used for applications such as maps and punctuality measurements. About You: We are seeking a person with deep expertise in databases and Integration. You have a strong understanding of relational database design and are experienced in building solutions that are robust, scalable, and easy to maintain. We expect you to: • Have worked with cloud-based database solutions, e.g., Azure SQL Database. • Have mastered advanced T-SQL and have extensive experience with modern DML such as merge operations, CTEs, and window functions in complex scripts. • Be able to design and optimize database schemas, including normalization and data modeling based on business requirements and performance needs. • Have experience working with large datasets and optimizing database scripts for performance and readability. • Have worked with cloud-based integration with applications or ETL flows such as Azure Data Factory. Meritorious if you have experience with: • Automation and CI/CD for database code. • Understand and can apply DCL, including permission management, roles, and security aspects within the database environment. • Have worked with NoSQL databases such as Azure Cosmos DB or similar. We are looking for someone who is analytical, meticulous, and accustomed to taking comprehensive responsibility for database and integration solutions in both new development and management. You have good communication skills and can explain technical solutions to both developers and other stakeholders in the organization. Why Nobina?
