About the Unit
You will be part of the HR Department at the Defense Staff Headquarters, led by the Swedish Armed Forces' Director of Personnel. The position is one of eight positions in the Terms and Conditions section, with the Deputy Chief Negotiator as your immediate supervisor. The Terms and Conditions section is responsible for the Swedish Armed Forces' collective agreements and wage formation. The section also serves as the Swedish Armed Forces' contact point with the National Agency for Government Employers and the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency.
Primary Responsibilities
As a tax specialist, you will:
• Analyze and further develop the Swedish Armed Forces' processes for managing tax issues related to salary and benefits
• Support the development of international personnel management in light of the Swedish Armed Forces' expanded responsibility for international deployment and service export
• Develop the HR department's competence in tax law through targeted training and knowledge support
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
• University degree in tax law
• Substantial current and relevant experience working with national and international service taxation and employer contributions
• Substantial current and relevant experience in public administration
• Good knowledge of Office 365
• Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written

Information about the Recruiting Unit:
Headquarters houses the Supreme Commander and Director-General. Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. From 01-01-2023, Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, Operations Management, Military Intelligence and Security Service, Headquarters Staff Department, and independent supervisory units.
Employment involves placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is typically required. A security review with register check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be war-placed. The position may also include an obligation to serve abroad, with specifics varying by position type.
