Senior Project Engineer for the Northern Parts of the East Link
Job Responsibilities
The East Link is a 160-kilometer double-track railway between Järna and Linköping. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will work in the Gerstaberg project within the East Link program. The Gerstaberg project is geographically located just south of Södertälje and is the East Link's connection point to the West Main Line. The project is managing several contracts, including a fly-over bridge as part of its largest contract with a contract value of approximately 1.8 billion SEK. Contract work is being performed in or adjacent to an operational railway facility.
As a senior project engineer, you are a crucial part of the project management team and responsible for supporting the project manager and project leaders. You will work on issues related to time, economics, and document management between client and supplier, as well as meeting management and delivery follow-up. You are a key component of the project and serve as an anchor from follow-up to reporting and status descriptions within a small team of project engineers.
Example Tasks:
• Follow-up of schedules, economics, and invoices
• Management of authorizations in contract and consultant agreements
• Risk management
• Delivery follow-up and quality control, safety issues, and work environment
• Meeting planning and minute-taking
Qualifications
Who Are You?
You are proactive and can independently identify what needs to be done and act accordingly. You enjoy working in groups with different people and are solution-oriented. You are structured, possess good communication skills, and work to find solutions that benefit all parties.
We Are Seeking Someone Who:
• Has a university degree of at least 180 ECTS credits in a technical field or another education and experience that the Swedish Transport Administration deems equivalent
• Has many years of experience in project work, such as project management, project planning, or project administration in the construction and infrastructure sector
• Has experience with planning and follow-up regarding time, cost, and content
• Can express themselves well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Holds a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with risk, economic, and/or contractual issues
