ABOUT THE POSITION
Excillum is a Swedish company that designs, develops, and manufactures x-ray light sources used for quality assurance in semiconductor, electronics, and battery manufacturing. Other applications include developing new pharmaceuticals and research in fields such as biology, medicine, and materials science. We currently have customers in Europe, Asia, and the USA. We are now in an exciting phase of continuing to industrialize the company, and a crucial part of this is to continue developing our production and building for the future!
You will be part of an 11-person team consisting of, for example, assembly technicians, commodity managers, and warehouse staff. You'll collaborate closely with your direct manager and other experts in electronics, mechanics, software, research, market, and sales, etc. We currently have around 90 employees at our headquarters in Kista, with both lab and production facilities in-house.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Excillum is embarking on an exciting growth journey with increased demand, sales, and manufacturing in the coming years. You will be a crucial player in creating structure, driving improvement initiatives, and ensuring that all assembly and integration processes for our x-ray sources are efficient, standardized, and continuously improved in line with Lean principles.
You will, for example:
* Support daily production of x-ray sources and sub-assemblies by providing technical guidance to maintain a stable flow and minimize production stops
* Develop, maintain, and improve assembly and process documentation (such as work instructions, build protocols, and visual standards) to ensure consistent and quality assembly
* Further develop, optimize, and maintain production layout to ensure efficient material flow, good ergonomics, and scalability
* Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with systems, quality, and hardware engineers
* Identify and drive improvements in tools, fixtures, and assembly methods
* Ensure calibration, maintenance, development, and operational readiness of production tools
* Maintain order, cleanliness, and safety in the production area in accordance with 5S and Excillum standards

In addition, you have:
* An academic degree in logistics, production, mechanics, industrial engineering, or similar
* Several years of experience in production and production development with similar tasks
* Experience working with complex products containing both hardware and software
* Experience with Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement tools
* Excellent English skills, both spoken and written
