About this role

**The Role** As a Senior Process Engineer at AdamantQ, your primary responsibilities will involve the development and implementation of diamond-substrate based microfabrication processes and their assembly within electronic chip carriers. Our components depend on the precise electronic control of spin systems in artificial diamonds. You will be engaged in the configuration, installation, and management of our deposition, assembly, and testing lines for scalable micron-electrode fabrication and chip-carrier bonding and assembly. The role will require collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team, encompassing a broad skill set and diverse technical backgrounds, to address the challenges of industrializing quantum sensor components for tangible commercial impact. This position offers significant opportunities for personal development and immediate contribution, as it enhances technical planning and execution proficiency and provides insights to help shape our manufacturing and scaling strategies. - Develop, execute, and manage clean-room-based electrode deposition, assembly, and bonding processes for irregular and non-wafer-based material substrates. - Investigate and implement fabrication strategies to optimize yield and process scaling. - Support and implement DC/RF testing routines for micron-scale electronic circuitry. - Implement best-practice internal technical documentation and archiving of process and manufacturing development. - Coordinate and collaborate with external partners to achieve fabrication goals and meet deadlines. - Develop an in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of semiconductor manufacturing processes. - Develop, maintain, and improve production processes. - Ensure high levels of tool availability through effective process and tool control strategies. - Analyze, interpret, and respond to measured product data in a timely manner. - Work closely with the Product Engineering and R&D teams for new product introduction. - Assist with fault finding and recovery of process tools and help develop improved tooling and tool support strategies. - Work within a cleanroom environment. - Utilize various computer software packages, including specialist or bespoke computer systems. - Adhere to all site safety and environmental procedures. **Responsibilities** - Apply Lean techniques to enhance process outcomes and tool performance. - Manage existing equipment and oversee sourcing, procurement, and installation. - Analyze tool and process data with continuous improvement based on SPC and 6-sigma principles. - Be prepared to lead and manage other process-development projects as needed. - Cross-qualify equipment to ensure continuity of supply and improve component assembly capacity while reducing production cycle time. - Provide best-practice training. - Manage and lead a growing process and production team. AdamantQ is seeking a self-starting, highly structured, and collaborative individual with the following profile: **Required Profile** - A degree in a semiconductor-based discipline and 10-15 years of directly related experience. - Familiarity with SPC, 6 sigma, and similar methodologies is a plus. - Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES) is an advantage. - Knowledge of photonic integrated circuit manufacture would be beneficial. - Experience in a high-technology manufacturing or production environment is advantageous. - A person who thrives in a role with a high degree of independence and accountability. - Ability to drive initiatives with limited oversight and serve as a technical anchor. **Other Requirements:** - Strong attention to technical details. - Excellent attendance, timekeeping, and punctuality. - Self-motivated and dependable with good communication skills. - Must maintain a professional attitude towards work and colleagues. - Ability to demonstrate flexibility in working hours when necessary to meet business demands.
