We are seeking up to 3 Network Engineers for a global company in Stockholm.
Start is ASAP, initial 6-month contract with potential extension.
We're looking for a Network Incident & Troubleshooting Engineer who thrives on solving complex network problems and quickly restoring stability.
You'll be part of the incident response and operations team, working across switching, routing, and firewalls — ensuring end-to-end service continuity and high network availability.
Your Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of network incidents from detection to resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues (VLANs, routing, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
• Perform end-to-end analysis across networks, firewalls, and connected systems to identify root causes.
• Manage, investigate, and escalate incidents related to Palo Alto or Check Point firewalls.
• Work with monitoring tools and logs to proactively detect and prevent service disruptions.
• Collaborate closely with automation, infrastructure, and application teams when incidents cross boundaries.
• Document incidents, findings, and permanent fixes to improve long-term stability.
Your Profile:
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills at Layer 2 and Layer 3.
• Experience operating and diagnosing issues on enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto or Check Point).
• Deep understanding of routing and switching fundamentals (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, STP).
• Comfortable performing packet captures, analyzing traffic flows, and interpreting logs.
• Proactive and analytical mindset — focused on finding the root cause.
• Team player with good communication skills and an ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Fluent in Swedish and English (spoken and written)
Nice to Have:
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Op5, Elasticsearch, etc.).
• Familiarity with Linux networking tools (tcpdump, traceroute, iptables).
• Exposure to automation (Python, Ansible) or scripting for diagnostics.
• Network/security certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, or CCSA/CCSE.
