Your Role
As a Supply Quality Manager, you will belong to one of four different commodity groups: Mechanics, Electronics, Systems, or IMK (non-metallic components).
You will quality assure purchased articles, materials, and subsystems within these commodity groups according to SAAB's procurement strategy, policy, and procedures. You are expected to take responsibility for quality requirements in request for quotes, contracts, and purchase orders, such as in procurement preparations. It is your responsibility to conduct process reviews at suppliers and products on-site at suppliers. Quality assuring and wanting to improve quality is a key component of your role.
Other examples of work tasks may include:
* Complaint handling
* Quality assuring and controlling our suppliers' quality performance
* Corrective actions and working on improvement programs together with suppliers
* Responsible for claims for materials not meeting specifications
* Root cause analyses
* Risk analyses
In addition to close contact with suppliers, you will also collaborate with other quality functions within the company. Travel is common, primarily within Sweden, but also within Europe.
Your Profile
You have a college or university degree in a relevant commodity area or substantial and many years of work experience in quality, mechanics, and system work. You also have many years of experience in quality assurance and good knowledge of quality work. It is meritorious to have documented competence in process auditing and many years of experience in supplier quality work. We also appreciate knowledge of 8D, DMAIC, 6σ, RCA, MSA, FMEA, and similar quality tools.
As a person, we seek someone who is structured and strives for order and organization. You have an analytical mind and want to develop processes. You are service-oriented and flexible in your approach to others. Furthermore, you are used to taking initiative and have a great ability to communicate and collaborate. We welcome someone who can lead and take significant initiative.
