Senior Communications Specialist

Senior Communications Specialist Job Responsibilities Trafikverket's communication aims to build trust. When we communicate, we want to create interest and understanding for Trafikverket's operations. We ensure that Trafikverket's communication is cohesive, proactive, and contributes to our shared goals. We also aim to strengthen the agency's communication capabilities. And most importantly, you will work in a complex and exciting environment with significant communication opportunities and challenging events in the projects and region. • Some examples of tasks include: - Driving communication initiatives strategically, operationally, and proactively, and coordinating communication to ensure a holistic perspective in everything we do - Message development, production, channel selection, and publishing across different channels - Working integratively with internal and external communication - Identifying and proactively managing communication risks and opportunities • This position involves travel for work. Our department works according to the "digital first" principle, but to succeed in the role, you must also be able to participate in physical meetings in other locations. In this role, you can work remotely up to two days per week. Qualifications Who are you? In this role, you need to be good at collaboration, include others in your work, be unpretentious, and able to build relationships. You are confident in the communicator role, advise on communication issues, and inspire confidence in communication work. You have a strong personal drive to identify communication needs and enjoy switching between strategic, tactical, and operational work with our communication activities. We are looking for someone who has: • A university degree of at least 180 credits in media and communication science/journalism or another equivalent education • Several years of recent experience in strategic communication work • Experience handling planned and unplanned media attention and working proactively with media • Several years of recent experience in communication work in a publicly managed organization or another large organization • Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously • Ability to target texts and be an excellent writer with very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Preferred qualifications include: • Good knowledge and experience analyzing target group needs, external requirements, and development needs with a focus on digital communication • Experience with the web tool Optimizely (Episerver) • Experience in communication work within urban development issues • Driver's license Application The questions you answer when submitting your application will form the basis of our initial selection.
