Senior Information Security Specialist with Data Protection Expertise Role Description We are seeking a senior information security specialist with strong data protection expertise for a full-time assignment. The role entails clear responsibility for supporting the organization in matters related to information security and privacy protection, with a focus on risk management, operational approval, and handling of personal data. You will work closely with information owners and other key personnel to ensure that decisions are made in a well-founded, risk-aware manner. Responsibilities • Manage and prepare cases related to the operational approval of systems based on the responsibilities of information owners. • Analyze deficiencies in documentation, competencies, and processes related to information security and data protection. • Develop and present concrete proposals for actions and improvements to enhance the security level. • Contribute to the development and application of risk management processes within information security. • Support the organization in matters concerning the handling of personal data, including assessments related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). • Participate in or conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) when processing personal data. • Collaborate with information owners, IT, legal, and other functions to ensure a unified and structured approach to information security and data protection. Requirements • Documented experience working as an information security specialist or equivalent in complex organizations. • Good knowledge of risk management processes within information security. • Good knowledge of data protection, including handling of personal data and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA). • Understanding of relevant regulations and frameworks within information security and privacy protection. • Ability to analyze deficiencies in documentation, processes, and competencies and translate this into concrete recommendations. • Strong communication skills and experience in explaining complex security and data protection issues in an understandable way to different target groups. • Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Desirable • Certifications in information security or data protection. • Experience with operational approval processes and working closely with information owners. • Experience from the public sector or other large, regulated organizations. • Experience in driving improvement work within information security and data protection.
