Senior Design Engineer Sheet Metal & Mega Casting (Automotive)

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer - Sheet Metal & Mega Casting for a global automotive company in Gothenburg. Start is in December 2025, 6-month contract to begin with, with potential for extension. Assignment Description Structural Design and Layout is a newly formed team focusing primarily on early development cycle phases for group architectures. Work tasks involve designing and developing Body-in-White (BIW) parts and other structural components (e.g., subframe, CCB, or similar parts). The team creates packaging layouts (geometrical setups, CV specifications) for various architectures and vehicles. Architecture development (part design and integration) involves multiple stakeholders including crash safety, NVH, Durability, Integration, and Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing solutions that meet all stakeholder requirements and possess excellent communication skills with a strong team-oriented approach. Required Qualifications and Skills • Minimum 20 years of experience in automotive structural design • Deep knowledge of sheet metal forming, high-pressure die-casting (HPDC), and mega casting structure design • Expertise in designing and developing chassis/propulsion components (subframes, suspensions, and high-voltage battery structures) • Ability to work with high autonomy and proficiently integrate vehicle systems/parts Personal Attributes • High level of responsibility and flexibility • Positive attitude towards new challenges and project changes • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across disciplines • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions within project timelines IT/Software Requirements • Catia V5 • VisMock Up • Teamcenter This is a full-time consultant position through Incluso in Gothenburg.
