Senior Design Engineer

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to strengthen our team in Gothenburg. **The Role** In the Exterior Front and Rear department, we believe that curiosity and a genuine commitment to understanding people are key to future success. The team is responsible for developing exterior components such as emblems, roof spoilers, tailgate appliques, and tailgates. Key attributes include design, aerodynamics, contamination, perceived quality, NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness), and solidity. We begin by sketching the first lines on blank paper at the start of product development and either onboard an external supplier (FSS) or continue to lead the development work to mass production (Built to Print). We take full responsibility and ownership of the parts, regardless of the sourcing strategy. In the Exterior Front and Rear department, we strive for simplicity and continuous improvement to focus our efforts where value is added. **Responsibilities** - As a Design Engineer, you will take ownership of the product design, ensuring that surface appearance, attribute functions, and manufacturing requirements are met. - You will be part of a cross-functional team working towards becoming a world-class engineering office in the industry. - You will be involved in the early phases of the program, setting the system design through to the final stages of the industrialization phase. The design engineer will follow the verification phase to incorporate learnings from testing and production environments. - You will interact frequently with designers from related areas and other stakeholders on a daily basis. Catia V5 and Team Center will be your primary tools in your daily work. **Requirements** - B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent education - Documented experience in using Catia V5 - Knowledge of engineering design, manufacturing, mechanical joining, and material behavior - In-depth knowledge of sheet metal, injection molded, and painted plastic design is considered an asset - A valid driver’s license (B) is preferred If you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on and want to join a global company, then this is the place for you.
