Assignment Description
The Buyer role is part of the client's global Indirect Purchasing (IDP) organization. You will be responsible for driving short and long-term sourcing strategies, identifying new suppliers/technologies, and developing existing supplier relationships. Your initial focus will be supporting the Global Event team and client Sales Units in European markets, working closely with business stakeholders.
Assignment Description and Main Responsibilities
• Perform sourcing for bought-in services across the business, with a strong focus on European Marketing & Communication organization needs related to Events, Test Drives, Partnerships, and Influencers in EMEA
• Execute procurement according to defined strategies and frameworks
• Negotiate commercial and legal agreements, create Service agreements
• Review purchase requisitions and select contracts/suppliers in alignment with defined strategies and agreements
• Advise stakeholders on procurement issues, providing support and guidance throughout the procurement cycle and on request modifications
• Track key performance indicators for supplier and stakeholder contract compliance, define and implement corrective actions to improve compliance and monitor supplier performance on quality and cost
• Conduct market analysis to support sourcing activities
• Establish and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Initiate and conduct supplier evaluations and audits

Competence Requirements:
• Educational background in business administration, finance, purchasing, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Indirect Purchasing, preferably with Marketing Services purchase categories
• Strong negotiation and Service Agreement creation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Quick understanding of stakeholder needs, service-minded, flexible, and adaptable
• Ability to manage multiple projects and data simultaneously with structured approach
• Fluent English, both written and spoken (German and other European languages a plus)
• Experience working in global, multicultural environments
• Highly proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
• Experience with purchase/administrative tools (SRM, Fieldglass, Workday preferred)
