Senior AWS/DevOps Engineer Role Description We are looking for a senior AWS/DevOps Engineer to take technical ownership of a cloud-based workshop platform. The role combines platform engineering and DevOps, with a strong focus on secure, efficient delivery in an agile environment. You will work closely with development teams to provide a stable, scalable, and well-automated platform that supports continuous delivery and modern cloud-native architectures. Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch. • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for multiple teams and services. • Manage Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, and/or CloudFormation. • Ensure platform stability, security, compliance, and observability across environments. • Drive automation, standardization, and best practices within cloud infrastructure and deployment flows. • Support development teams with integrations, deployment strategies, release processes, and incident handling. • Contribute to architectural decisions related to cloud services, serverless solutions, and microservices. • Work actively with performance tuning, cost optimization, and long-term scalability of the platform. • Collaborate in an agile setting, supporting team alignment, facilitation, and continuous improvement. Requirements • 5–10+ years of hands-on AWS production experience. • Deep knowledge of core AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, and VPC networking. • Experience with CloudFormation and/or AWS CDK; Terraform experience is a strong advantage. • Advanced skills in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting GitLab CI/CD pipelines. • Solid experience with Docker and container-orchestrated environments. • Scripting and automation skills in Python or Bash. • Good understanding of API design, integration patterns, and microservices architectures. • Experience working with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and/or Prometheus/OpenTelemetry. • Experience in incident handling, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in production environments. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support and coach multiple development teams. • Self-driven, structured, and quality-focused, comfortable working in complex environments. Meriting • Deep knowledge of AWS CDK. • Experience from large enterprise DevOps environments. • Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge). • Understanding of CI/CD needs for Angular/TypeScript-based frontends. • Experience from automotive, workshop, or diagnostics-related domains. • Experience acting as Scrum Master, technical lead, or similar agile leadership role.
