Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
• Reprogram and further develop a pre-assembly piston production line in an operational manufacturing environment
• Create new control code and logic using Siemens TIA Portal (v17+)
• Design, implement and optimize control functions using LAD, GRAPH and SCL
• Architect and implement the PPAP software system and define signal models
• Configure and maintain Siemens 1500 F PLCs, HMI Comfort Panels and associated automation components
• Ensure robust system communication through OPC UA and Profinet
• Integrate and optimize Cognex vision systems for quality and inspection processes
• Troubleshoot industrial networks, communication layers and safety-related functions
• Conduct simulation and virtual commissioning to secure functional reliability
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams and production stakeholders to secure seamless implementation
What you bring:
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in Siemens TIA Portal automation projects
• At least 3 years of experience in developing machine logic from scratch for production environments
• Strong background in modular, reusable code architecture within large automation systems
• Proven experience reprogramming or upgrading existing production line automation
• Experience with traceability, variant handling and MES system integration
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation or equivalent engineering field
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols and safety systems
• Excellent communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus
• Structured, solution-oriented and hands-on approach with strong collaboration skills
