Our production facility in Jämtland is located in Halabacken, Mattmar, between Östersund and Åre. Here, around 220 employees work in various roles and functions. In addition to production, there are also departments for product development, purchasing, logistics, and customer support. Nord-Lock produces locally but acts globally! About the position
Within the finance department, we are responsible for overarching financial accounting, year-end closings, monitoring, budgeting and forecasting, group reporting, currency management, and other financial administrative matters. The department in Mattmar has 8 employees, and it also handles IT, facility, and security issues. Globally, the finance department within Nord-Lock Group has around 30 employees.
As a Senior Accountant, you will have a broad and developing role where you work with both ongoing accounting and more strategic tasks. You will be responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable, bookkeeping, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. You will work with accruals, provisions, and reserves, ensuring that reporting to authorities is accurate and timely.
You will also be involved in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as participating in budgeting and forecasting processes. Reporting will take place in Latour's group reporting system, and you will actively contribute to the analysis and follow-up of revenues, costs, and results. The role also includes:
• Developing the accounting structure to support profitability and growth
• Providing support and training within the accounting area
• Collaborating with colleagues globally to develop the finance function within Nord-Lock Group
This position is a permanent employment contract based in Mattmar. There is an opportunity to arrange for some remote work. In addition to the office in Mattmar, we also offer office spaces in Åre and Östersund.
We are looking for someone who has...
• An academic degree in finance or equivalent work experience in accounting
• Several years of experience in accounting/auditing or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Strong knowledge of accounting
• Proficient skills in Excel
• Strong ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English, as communication occurs in both languages
Experience in accounting within the manufacturing industry is an advantage, and we prefer candidates who are accustomed to working with financial reporting based on specific deadlines. Personal suitability for the role will be highly valued.
