By the summer of 2026, we are seeking curious and committed junior doctors for adult psychiatry in Kalmar.
This is an opportunity to enhance your professional skills and gain deeper insight into the work of adult psychiatry within the healthcare system. We consistently receive positive feedback from students and training doctors, particularly for our collegial support. Here, you will work in a varied and stimulating environment alongside us, if you have an interest in psychiatry and psychiatric conditions.
As a junior doctor, you will be responsible for standard junior doctor tasks within inpatient care and emergency reception, while actively contributing to a positive work environment. The employment is for a minimum of two months during the period from June to August, but longer assignments can be discussed. Start and end dates will be determined by agreement.
About You
We are primarily looking for licensed doctors or those with a medical degree. Medical students are also welcome to apply, provided that by the start of employment, you have completed at least 10 semesters of the medical program at a Swedish university or an institution within the EU/EEA, with approved courses and exams. Furthermore, it is required that the psychiatry exam is completed and passed by the start of employment. Previous work experience in psychiatric care is an advantage. We want you to have an interest in psychiatry.

Your Future Workplace
You will work in newly built and modern facilities specifically designed for specialist psychiatry. These facilities promote effective coordination within psychiatric services and offer a pleasant working environment for you, with spacious staff areas and a beautiful view of Kalmarsund and Öland. We are a clinic with 37 care places and approximately 230 employees, including 5 specialty doctors and 15 specialist physicians. Here, there are three inpatient wards, three outpatient clinics, and three treatment units.
