The Diagnostics Center has approximately 1,000 employees and consists of the radiology clinics and laboratory clinics at the region's three hospitals and many of the region's healthcare centers. Job Description
For the summer of 2026, we are looking for summer substitutes for:
- Linköping as the main location: Hospital Laboratory Medicine, Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine (primary care), Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine (including GeBlod), Precision Medicine Laboratory, and Clinical Pathology.
- Motala as the main location: Hospital Laboratory Medicine and Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine.
- Norrköping as the main location: Hospital Laboratory Medicine and Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine.
Within Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine, you will primarily work with sample collection and analysis, closely with patients and in collaboration with primary care. In the hospital laboratories, you will work with both highly automated analytical instruments and manual laboratory work within the various laboratory specialties. The three hospitals also have sampling units that need staffing during the summer. At GeBlod, you will work with blood donation in Linköping and on our blood bus. You will also need to manage our various IT support systems.
We expect you to be available for the entire summer period, i.e., weeks 24-34.
About You
You are a licensed biomedical analyst or a student in the biomedical analyst program. Alternatively, you are a medical biologist or a student in medical/experimental biology or equivalent biomedical education that we assess as comparable. Students in the medical program, at least in their fourth semester, are also welcome to apply. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
As a person, you are service-oriented, quality-conscious, and meticulous, and you can prioritize your work effectively. The job requires the ability to perform independent work as well as to work in a team. The position also involves contact with both donors and patients. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is good at collaborating, has a strong ability to listen and communicate clearly, and enjoys problem-solving.
