About this role

We are now seeking a section manager for the Adult Unit - we warmly welcome your application! About us The Adult Unit has approximately 70 employees and consists of a regulatory section and three operational sections. The Adult Unit works with individuals with mental disabilities and/or addictions, as well as those who wish to leave a criminal lifestyle. The Adult Unit is embarking on an exciting development journey where we are now forming three new sections within the operational part. The Housing Section is responsible for two social psychiatric group homes and a sober and drug-free supported living facility. The Prevention Section offers interventions without needs assessment, both in groups and individually. This section also includes health-promoting activities, support for relatives, an employment program, and an activity house. The Assistance Section works with assessed assistance measures. The interventions are individually tailored and aim to provide support in daily life, promote independence, and contribute to a positive life change. You will be part of an engaged management team consisting of section managers, operational developers, and the unit manager. As a section manager, you will report directly to the unit manager. The section managers support each other during short absences. What does the job entail? Currently, there is a transformation underway in the Adult Unit where two groups are being consolidated under one section, the Assistance Section. As section manager, you will be responsible for the Assistance Section and will work together with the teams to further develop work methods enabled by the new configuration. You will enter a phase where collaboration, development, and quality are in focus. You will play a key role in leading the section through this exciting phase, where your leadership will contribute to shaping a sustainable and well-functioning operation. The operation offers support and treatment interventions for individuals with harmful use and dependence on alcohol, drugs, or other addictive substances, gambling, criminal lifestyles, as well as housing support and apartment assistance. The goal of the interventions is to strengthen the individual's ability to live an independent life. The section consists of eight support educators, four treatment providers, a 50% coordinator, and an apartment supporter who works with the municipality's training apartments. As section manager, you will be responsible for both personnel and budget. You will lead and develop the operation based on applicable legislation, goals, guidelines, and financial frameworks. The role also includes conducting systematic work environment efforts, quality assuring the interventions, and organizing work in a way that promotes both the employees' work environment and the development of the target group. Who are we looking for? You have: - A degree in social work - Experience working with the target group of the Adult Unit - Previous leadership experience. As a person, you are secure, stable, and possess good self-awareness. Through clear communication, you motivate others and create conditions for achieving common goals. You work strategically, systematically follow up on interventions, and use the results to develop the operation.
