Section Head for System Engineering Department

Your Role Within the Fighter Core Capabilities business area, we develop electronic warfare systems and countermeasures for combat aircraft, systems that are extremely important for ensuring the survival of our pilots. Our Systems Engineering department is growing, and we are therefore seeking a manager for one of the HW Functions sections. The section consists of 12 system engineers working on hardware-near system engineering and maintaining the overall picture in the development and product lifecycle. System engineers participate in ongoing development projects and provide expert support to our production department in Järfälla. As a first-line manager, you will work closely with your colleagues to quickly identify where the organization needs support. You will be part of the department's management team together with five other section managers. The management team is quite new, and we place great value on supporting each other and ensuring open communication. Together in the management team, we have great opportunities to develop the department's working methods, and we are in a very exciting and expansive phase! The position is located in Solna, but initially, some work time may be spent in Järfälla. Your Profile We are looking for a positive person with previous experience in a leadership role, either as a manager, project leader, or team leader. You have a genuine interest in developing people and the organization, can see the big picture of what the organization should deliver, and have the ability to motivate and inspire your section members. You have clear communication skills and enjoy having many points of contact. To thrive in this role, we believe you have: * At least three years of leadership experience, for example, as a manager, project leader, or team leader * Relevant college or university education or equivalent knowledge acquired otherwise * An ability to switch perspectives from operational to more strategic management * Product development experience with hardware, good technical understanding, and an ability to quickly learn new technology * Good knowledge of English and Swedish It is meritorious if you have: * Worked with system work according to ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 and are familiar with INCOSE * Experience in production technology in the manufacturing industry * Experience in the defense industry The position requires that you undergo and pass the current security protection regulations.
