As Section Manager at the Government Offices, you will play a central role in the agency with numerous points of contact at the heart of political activity. As Section Manager, you will lead the strategic and operational work of the Accounting Section, which is part of the Government Offices' central finance unit, RK Economy and Business. You will report to the unit manager and be part of the unit's management team, which also includes the section managers for the Payment Section and the Procurement Section. The role of the section manager involves many contacts both internally and externally to the Government Offices. The Accounting and EA Support Section has the overall responsibility for ensuring that the Government Offices' accounting meets the internal and external requirements in the field and prepares the annual report for the Government Offices. The section provides support in complex accounting issues to the departments and is responsible for system management of the finance and invoice systems. You will drive improvement and digitalization initiatives, optimize processes, and ensure high quality. Additionally, you are an active leader who develops employees, fosters engagement, and leads improvement work that strengthens both the team and the organization. The role includes budget, operational, and personnel responsibilities. The section consists of approximately 12 employees, including process leaders, accounting economists, and system administrators. Read more about our operations at www.regeringen.se. Your background We are looking for someone with a university degree focused on accounting or auditing. You have relevant experience as a finance or accounting manager with personnel, operational, and budget responsibilities within the public sector and have experience leading development work related to processes and support systems. We also expect you to have knowledge of financial processes within public operations, such as annual reports and other financial reporting. You possess excellent knowledge of accounting and the financial administrative regulations. Experience working with monitoring and analysis as a controller or auditor is an advantage. Relevant experience working within the Government Offices is also a merit.
