The Markverkstad unit is part of the Swedish Armed Forces Technical School (FMTS), which performs maintenance on the Armed Forces' vehicles, ground equipment, airbase equipment, and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adjustments, and material investigations.
From January 1, 2026, the Markverkstad unit (MvE) will be transferred to the Army Staff. Markverkstad Berga belongs to Mv Stockholm, which is a department with three workshops and approximately 80 employees.

Main Responsibilities
The role involves personnel responsibility, where your main task is to lead and distribute work within the group with the support of team coordinators. As one of five managers, you will report directly to the department head for Mv Stockholm and be part of the department's management team. You will lead and develop the section according to the organization's goals and work to improve work methods. You are responsible for the section's economy/budget and ensuring that safety and quality standards are met. You will also be responsible for monitoring production and serve as the local site coordinator for FMTS Berga. This means participating in joint garrison meetings and representing FMTS to Haninge Garrison.

- Recruitment, rehabilitation, and professional development
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least a three-year upper secondary education with a technical or workshop technology focus, or equivalent as assessed by the employer
- Relevant experience in a leadership position with personnel responsibility
- Good and clear communication skills, with the ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
- Good computer skills
- B driver's license

Meritorious
- Experience and knowledge of workshop operations and material maintenance within the Armed Forces
- Training in leadership
- Basic knowledge of Swedish labor law and associated workplace legislation
