Our Operations
We have approximately 500 employees distributed across outpatient clinics, wards, and medical departments. A large part of our care consists of national and regional patients referred for highly specialized investigations and treatments. We are a research-intensive clinic in close collaboration with Uppsala University.
Liver-Pancreas Section
The operations include the investigation and treatment of surgical diseases of the liver, bile ducts, duodenum, and pancreas. We provide highly specialized care and management for a large number of patients from the region.
Your Mission
As section chief, you will have medical leadership responsibility for our Liver-Pancreas section. This role also includes responsibility for production, personnel, quality, work environment, and finances. You will report directly to the operations manager and be part of the management team for the department. Your mission will be to lead and develop the section as a whole towards set goals.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for a specialist in Surgery with a focus on Liver-Pancreas Surgery; previous leadership roles and research in the field are advantageous. You are a clear and confident leader who fosters participation and engagement among your staff. We will place great emphasis on your suitability to combine both medical and managerial roles.
We Offer
The position is a permanent employment as a surgeon and a fixed-term appointment as section chief for three years. The section chief role is a full-time position within the Department of Surgery and Urology and involves combined clinical duties as a liver-pancreas surgeon with managerial responsibilities. Full-time, on-call, and standby duties are included. Salary and start date are to be agreed upon.
