Our statistics are used everywhere, at the kitchen table, in news reporting, and by decision-makers in the parliament and government.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The section for wages and employment is responsible for labor market statistics, including the population's labor market status (BAS), statistics on employment, job vacancies, sick leave, and occupations, among others. Additionally, the section produces the official wage statistics on behalf of the responsible statistical authority, the Mediation Institute (MI).
Labor market statistics are a central source for shedding light on the situation and development of the labor market and the Swedish economy. The statistics are often highlighted in various contexts, and we have extensive contact with knowledgeable and engaged users.
Currently, 17 employees work in the section. You will have operational, personnel, and financial responsibility. You are responsible for the section's delivery based on the assignment in the operational order and report to the unit manager. You will lead, plan, and follow up on the section's work to ensure it is conducted efficiently and with high quality, and you will be a clear representative of the employer. You will be part of the unit's management team alongside the unit manager and three other section managers.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
We require that you have:
• An academic degree
• Experience working as a manager or leader within an authority
• A good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
• Experience in statistical production
• Management or leadership training
• Experience leading development and change work
• At least 30 credits in statistics
• Knowledge and interest in the section's area of operations, for example, through analytical work.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
This position is located in the section for wages and employment in Örebro. Based on the operational conditions, there is the possibility to also work from home for a certain period.
The employment is permanent and usually begins with a six-month probationary period. The start date will be agreed upon.
