About this role

Ref: 20252428 Job Responsibilities The Disability Support Administration is undergoing an exciting transformation towards a good and close healthcare approach, with accessible care and support focused on a person-centered approach as the goal. We are now seeking a temporary Section Manager for our Healthcare Unit who wants to contribute to this important ongoing work. Within the Healthcare Unit, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists work in interprofessional teams. Their mission is to work in a person-centered, health-promoting, preventive, and patient-safe manner for patients living in specially adapted housing under LSS or SoL, or in ordinary housing through personal assistance services. The work is done in close collaboration with housing staff and personal assistants to provide good and equitable healthcare for individuals with disabilities in the City of Malmö. As Section Manager (first-line manager), your primary task will be to continue driving the interprofessional work forward together with your colleagues, fellow managers, immediate supervisor, and other internal and external stakeholders, where a team-based approach is a crucial and self-evident success factor. The focus of the assignment is to lead the daily work on-site through close leadership. As Section Manager, you are responsible for the unit's quality, personnel, work environment, budget, and the administration associated with these areas of responsibility. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a bachelor's degree in healthcare or another education deemed equivalent by the employer. Having a license as an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or nurse is meritorious. You need to have management and leadership experience in a relevant field and extensive experience in healthcare work. You are attentive, lead through dialogue, and understand the value of good relationships and trust-based leadership to succeed in your assignment. You have good collaboration skills, listen, and resolve conflicts constructively. You clearly communicate the unit's direction and goals, which you then continuously follow up on. You also contribute to creating a learning organization. As a person, you are quality-conscious, engaged, and structured, with the ability to see the big picture in your assignment from an organizational and holistic human perspective. We expect you to be a proficient computer user, have good administrative knowledge, and view administrative systems as a work tool. You express yourself clearly and articulately in both speech and writing in Swedish. About the Workplace The Healthcare Unit is one of three units in the Health and Development Division. The unit consists of four sections comprising occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and nursing assistants, as well as (until January 2026) an interprofessional section for patients with personal assistance decisions. The unit has recently implemented an organizational change to interprofessional teams. In the Section Manager role, you will continue the initiated work and build and develop the operations together with employees, colleagues, and partners. The unit also has several specialist functions, including quality developers, professional support, healthcare coordinators, and caretakers. You will receive excellent support in your assignment from your immediate supervisor. We offer a basic introduction tailored individually based on your previous experience. You will also be offered close collaboration with our support functions in finance and HR and the administration's staff departments, including those with medical responsibility. The Disability Support Administration and City of Malmö also offer, among other things, municipal-wide occupational health training, mentorship, and leadership days. We apply flexible working hours and offer wellness allowances. The Disability Support Administration employs over 3,000 employees working together to create and develop even better support and services for people with disabilities. Our operations include LSS, psychiatric social services, personal assistance, companion services, and healthcare. Seriously ill children receiving home care are also part of our mandate. We work to ensure everyone's right to good health, opportunities for work and employment, and the ability to participate in society according to their conditions.
