About the Position The Endocrine and Sarcoma Surgery Section is part of the Medical Unit (ME) Breast, Endocrine Tumors, and Sarcoma (BES) within the Cancer Theme. We are the sole provider of endocrine surgery in the Stockholm Region and have national healthcare assignments for neuroendocrine tumors, adrenal surgery, and sarcoma. In our operations, we work multidisciplinarily with outpatient, ward, and surgical activities primarily in Solna, but also have collaborations and assignments with facilities in Huddinge. The section participates in the hospital's surgical on-call services, both through its own on-call line within ME BES and participation in the intermediate/trauma on-call. As section chief, you will lead and distribute work for the section's physicians and ensure quality, patient safety, financial results, and work environment. Primary Responsibilities and Work Areas: - Drive long-term and sustainable skills provision - Responsibility for production and accessibility - Initiate and drive development work - Contribute to investigating and performing national highly specialized healthcare assignments (NHV) In the role, you will closely collaborate with nursing managers in inpatient and outpatient care and report to the ME BES operations manager. Together with the oncology section chief, you will drive a section management group and will also be part of the ME BES management team. The position involves a first-line assignment linked to a continuing management appointment. The management assignment corresponds to approximately 50%; the remaining time will be spent working clinically with a continuing position as a specialist physician, deputy chief physician, or chief physician.
