Bellevue Gymnasium and Malmö Magistratsgymnasium are two school legal units that collaboratively create high-quality learning environments for our IMA and IMY students. The schools are led by a principal and a deputy principal at each school. We are now strengthening our school management and seeking a Section Manager - a key person and important part of the management team.
Job Responsibilities
As part of the school's management group, you as Section Manager will have management responsibility for facilities and premises, as well as responsibility for the school's support functions and administrative work by driving and coordinating:
• Administration – drive and coordinate the school's administrative work such as student and personnel administration, case management, digitalization, GDPR, and ongoing financial administration.
• Local and Physical Environment – drive and coordinate the school's work with property issues/premises, safety and security matters, systematic fire protection work, systematic work environment management, and authority requirements.
• Procurement and Purchasing – drive and coordinate purchases and procurement for the parts covered in the financial system and framework agreements.
• IT - drive and coordinate work of both digital and administrative nature.
• Personnel and Work Environment Responsibility – management of employees with associated budget and personnel responsibility.
Together with colleagues in the management team, you will conduct continuous development and improvement work to create efficient and high-quality service based on students' and staff's needs. You will report to the principal and act according to the delegation given by the principal. In daily work, you will have contact with property managers, external partners, and suppliers. The assignment also involves collaboration with administrative support functions, other administrations, authorities, civil society, and other school units.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• University degree equivalent to 180 ECTS credits/bachelor's level and 3 years of experience in relevant professional field,
or
• Alternative education combined with 8 years of experience in relevant professional field.
Additionally, we are looking for someone who has:
• Excellent knowledge of physical work environment and related in-depth areas such as safety and maintenance and operation agreements
• Very good digital ability to use various digital communication tools and adapt to new programs and systems
• Excellent Swedish language skills in speech and writing, and good English language skills in speech and writing
Meriting Factors:
• Leadership development program/leadership training that the employer deems relevant
• Management and leadership experience with personnel responsibility
• Experience in operational management, especially in administration, facilities, and safety
• Experience with scheduling, preferably in Skola24
• Experience working in a flexible and changing environment
• Understanding of political processes and how these are implemented in practice
• Understanding and knowledge of documentation requirements and administrative routines for the current student group
