The Children and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary education, and adapted primary education. We are seeking a secure, relational, and result-oriented Section Manager for the Children and Education Administration in Huddinge Municipality. Job Responsibilities In your role, you will be responsible for a team consisting of social workers, special education teachers, special education specialists, and social pedagogues, with the following tasks: • Promote attendance in collaboration with other actors both within the municipality and with, for example, the region. • Drive initiatives related to the municipality's prevention work. • Support schools in complex student cases. As a section manager, you have budget, personnel, and work environment responsibilities. You will be part of the management group with section managers, with the department head as your direct supervisor. You are responsible for investigations/reports related to the assignment and contribute to developing educational initiatives based on identified needs in the operations. As a manager in Huddinge Municipality, you are a role model based on the municipality's shared values. As a manager, you actively drive change and development work, creating understanding and commitment for what needs to be implemented. Your leadership promotes an open collaborative climate, participation in work, and ensures that good ideas are utilized. Qualification Requirements We are seeking someone with a social work degree and extensive experience with assignments in schools with students with various special support needs. You have a documented ability to collaborate, both within the municipality and with other actors, and have broad knowledge about children and students in need of support. You have experience working with students within the autism spectrum, ADHD, and other neuropsychiatric disabilities. You also have several years of experience independently leading and driving projects from start to finish and have an excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Furthermore, you have communication skills and create trusting contacts with employees, managers, union representatives, and politicians. You also have an analytical ability to identify, adapt, and develop based on challenges and needs in the operations. As a person, you are a relationship builder with excellent collaboration skills.
