About this role
In Trelleborg, we work together for a growing, successful municipality where life is good. Our 61 villages and 21 neighborhoods are creative meeting places buzzing with life. Here, we want things to happen, we talk about them, and we are who we are. This means we welcome others with the same generous and curious approach.
Welcome to join the journey!
The Technical Service Administration is Trelleborg Municipality's enabling administration. We are a secure, safe, and value-creating resource that works proactively, efficiently, and sustainably together with those who live, work, and visit Trelleborg Municipality. The administration's five departments have overall responsibility for planning, managing, and developing public spaces in different areas. We do this, for example, by maintaining the municipality's public spaces, waste and sewage management, water supply, and infrastructure. We also deliver internal services such as operation and maintenance of municipal facilities, cleaning services, system management, and IT support.
Workplace
Within the Operations and Service unit, we are now developing and preparing ourselves for the future by organizing ourselves into two sections with a total of 20 employees.
The sections to be created are within fire and safety and property technology. The fire and safety section consists of three employees, and you will be the fourth piece of the puzzle. In property technology, there are 14 employees, and you will be the fifteenth.
Based on the organization described above, we are now seeking a Section Manager for Operations & Service, Fire and Safety Section. You will work together with fellow managers, unit manager, and experienced technicians in the field. You will develop the work group and follow up on operations and other projects within the section's area of responsibility. Together with the unit manager, employees, and other functions within the organization, you will gather needs and prioritize efforts. You will also be responsible for the section's development and quality work, short and long-term work planning and management, material procurement, contact with our contractors, and communication with other administrations directly or via our case management system. Your role as Section Manager includes financial, personnel, and work environment responsibilities.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with post-secondary education in a relevant field or at least 10 years of professional experience in fire, locks, alarms, and good understanding of property technology. We require experience in monitoring technology related to properties. We also want you to have at least three years of management experience, including personnel, financial, and work environment responsibilities. You should have a relevant leadership training completed recently. The position requires professional experience in planning, follow-up, and development of operations and service. A manual driving license (B-license) is a requirement for this position, as well as good Swedish language skills, both verbally and in writing, as expected in a Section Manager role.
It is meritorious if you have relevant work environment training in BAS P/U and experience from work in public sector and professional experience in control and regulation technology.
You are structured with the ability to work proactively and independently prioritize and switch between different tasks, both operationally and administratively. We value curiosity, drive, and the ability to take action and focus on solutions.
As a leader, you are skilled at leading by example and enthusing your group to achieve success. You are a good communicator with the ability to involve and create engagement that opens up for participation and responsibility. You motivate, inspire, and provide support where needed.
