About the Job
As Section Manager for the Driver's License Department's Customer Service, you will follow up and support employees in their work. The entire customer service unit is located in Örebro, and you will be part of the management team and work together with other section managers in the same area. Our customer service unit has about 100 employees distributed across 5 sections. Your section has approximately 20 employees and works with driver's license case handling via telephone and manual case processing.
Personnel responsibility involves planning the section's skills supply through competence development and recruitment. You will conduct systematic work environment management and identify early needs for workplace adaptation and rehabilitation. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring work is carried out cost-effectively, making operational decisions in line with the section's economic conditions.
As a Section Manager, you are responsible for your section but will have close collaboration with other section managers in the unit. Your assignment as a manager in the Customer Service Unit is to serve customers in their driver's license questions together with your section's employees. Through a coaching leadership style with clear frameworks, you create the best conditions for your employees to perform well. Section managers and the unit manager will be your support and sounding board. The unit manager is located in Örebro.
The position includes travel within Sweden.

As a manager, you are responsible for operations within your department/unit/section and actively work with personnel, budget, and work environment issues. You lead and create good conditions for employees in their work and represent the employer. As a manager at the Swedish Transport Agency, you actively participate in management group work, contributing to the development of both your own unit and the Swedish Transport Agency in a positive way, focusing on citizens and business.

You Must Have
- Relevant academic education or other equivalent knowledge/experience we assess as equivalent
- Experience of working as a manager with personnel, work environment, budget, and operational responsibility in the past two years
- Experience leading development and change work
- Worked in a customer service operation
It is Meritorious If You Also Have
- Worked in customer service with a combined assignment of administrative case handling and telephony
- Experience with resource planning for a larger group of employees
- Worked as a manager in state administration or agency
- Experience working in a management group

More Information
The position is permanent with a four-year management appointment, located in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee, you can work remotely up to three days per week. The operation's needs and the nature of tasks determine if and to what extent this is possible.
Employment may involve placement in a security class. A security review with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may be conducted. Some tasks in the security class require Swedish citizenship.
