We are looking for an experienced and driven Section Manager for System Safety to lead our team in systems safety. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our systems meet the highest safety standards and that we comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Your Role
As Section Manager for System Safety, you will lead and develop the team in systems safety. Your role will involve the development and implementation of safety strategies and procedures that ensure our systems are safe and reliable. You will work closely with other departments to integrate safety requirements at all stages of system development, from design to implementation and operation. You will not only lead this team but also be part of the operational work.
A key part of your role will be to conduct risk analyses and safety assessments to identify and manage potential safety risks. You will also monitor and report safety incidents and initiate and follow up on actions to minimize future risks. It is important that you stay updated on the latest safety challenges and technologies in systems safety to ensure that we are always at the forefront.
As Section Manager, you will be part of the area's management team. Currently, there are staff in both Karlskoga and Karlstad, which means that as Section Manager, you will have personnel at both locations. We are currently in an expansive phase, which means you will have the opportunity to create new structures for the business and shape your team during a time of change.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with experience as a section manager or in a similar role within systems safety. You should have knowledge of safety standards and procedures. Experience in risk management and safety assessments is also an advantage. Additionally, we seek someone with excellent leadership skills and the ability to work in a team. A degree in engineering in systems technology, computer science, or a related field is desirable.
As a representative of the company in matters related to systems safety, you will have contact with customers and authorities. Therefore, it is important that you have excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenships.
