Kulturhuset Stadsteatern offers a multifaceted operation with opportunities to work on large music productions, newly written drama, children's and youth theater, dance, exhibitions, concerts, literature discussions, and debates. As a performing arts technician, you will be part of the performance technical unit with around 100 employees. The unit includes sound, light, video, and stage technology.
About the Role:
We are seeking a substitute performing arts technician for Klarascenen. You will be part of a team that develops a production and then runs performances in repertoire. You will be assigned a function during rehearsals and performances and have ongoing responsibility for the production during the performance period together with other performing arts technicians. The performance technical teams work across boundaries, and you are expected to be involved in the transformation of set design, sound, and lighting.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking someone with experience working as a performing arts technician in professional performing arts or relevant education. You have good knowledge of a theater production's process and conditions, both technical and artistic. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
You are solution-oriented and enjoy working in teams. Additional qualifications include education or experience/knowledge of running performances at an institutional theater.
Conditions
This is a 5-month temporary position from 260105 to 260530. Start date is January 5th or by agreement. Work is scheduled and performed during daytime, evenings, and weekends. The temporary position primarily involves evening and weekend shifts. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application period ends.
