About this role

For the tenth time, Scania is launching its popular I-Talent Program! The I-Talent Program at Scania is an inspiring six-month journey designed for newly graduated IT students with a passion for innovation and sustainability. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a specialized IT role, access to training, and the opportunity to collaborate with teams across IT, sales, marketing, and research and development (R&D). The program not only strengthens technical skills but also develops soft skills within a supportive network – all to prepare participants to contribute to Scania’s goal: driving the shift toward a sustainable transport system. If you're graduating in spring 2026 or have a maximum of two years of work experience, this program is for you! ABOUT THE POSITION Scania is one of Sweden’s largest companies and offers trucks and buses for heavy transport in combination with a wide range of product-related services. Their mission is to drive the transition to a sustainable transport system by developing safe, smart, and energy-efficient transport solutions that are better for both people and our planet. Today, Scania has around 50,000 employees in approximately 100 countries, and together with partners and customers, they are driving the transition towards a more sustainable transport industry, being both trendsetters and pioneers in electrification and sustainable transport systems. Together with several other I-talents, you will be offered a unique chance to participate in a program that will kick-start your journey at Scania. You will be employed in a specific role and belong to a team but alternate your work in that role with meetings alongside the other I-talents. The program starts every fall and is designed for those who are new in their careers, aiming to provide you with the best possible conditions to grow into your role. The I-Talent Program consists, in addition to daily work in your team, mainly of three parts – “Learning your professional role,” “Go-and-see,” and “Training.” This provides excellent opportunities to build a strong network within Scania, and in addition to your I-Talent colleagues and your immediate manager, you will be assigned a buddy who will support you during your initial period. At Scania, you are offered a multicultural work environment with ambitious colleagues and a company that invests in leadership. There is room for everyone to grow here, whether you want to be a generalist, specialist, or leader. If you have the right attitude and are motivated to take responsibility, you will have every chance to develop! RESPONSIBILITIES As a Junior Incident Manager, you will play a strategically important role in resolving Scania’s most complex and high-priority incidents — from major production disruptions to issues affecting critical business systems such as finance. You will join a group of approximately 30 people within a larger IT department of around 150. Within the group, roughly six colleagues are dedicated to incident management — you will belong to this incident team and be responsible for coordinating and handling incidents on behalf of the entire Scania IT organization. The role requires close collaboration across teams, groups, and functions throughout Scania IT, and you will receive support from experienced colleagues during your transition. What you will do * Mobilize the right expertise and coordinate cross-functional teams across Scania IT to accelerate resolution. * Ensure technicians and specialists across Scania IT have the information and context needed to act efficiently. * Manage stakeholder communication — keep leadership and affected functions across Scania IT informed with accurate, timely updates. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO This is a role for those who thrive at the center of action and remain calm under pressure. You make clear decisions, communicate confidently with a variety of stakeholders across Scania IT, and adapt quickly when situations change. If you’re aiming for a future leadership role, this position is an excellent stepping stone to quickly build a strong network within Scania IT. In this recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and interest in the position. Make sure to clearly motivate in your application why you chose to apply! Furthermore, you have: * An academic degree in industrial economy, IT, network engineering, or similar * Strong knowledge of English and Swedish, both written and spoken * Graduating in spring 2026 or having a maximum of 2 years of work experience when the program starts in September 2026 * The ability to work night shifts We consider it a merit if you have: * Knowledge in network engineering and/or programming Other information * Start: September 2026 * Extent: Full-time, fixed-term employment for 6 months with a good chance of continuing your career at Scania after the program * Location: Södertälje, with the possibility of remote work a few days a week * The recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and all questions regarding the process should be directed to Academic Work. * Contact information: Recruitment Consultant Johanna Sörell, [email protected] Our recruitment
