CULTURE AND RECREATION ADMINISTRATION The Culture and Recreation Administration is a new department that reports directly to the Culture and Recreation Committee. The department is responsible for libraries, public culture, art halls, swimming facilities, music schools, citizen offices, sports and leisure activities, and tourism. Our goal is to offer all residents a rich and varied cultural and recreational offering, based on the needs and wishes of our citizens. MUSIC SCHOOL At the music school, we are a cheerful, friendly, curious, and serious team. With students at the center, we ensure that there is a lot of interaction during lessons as well as in other contexts. In addition to lessons, we offer both orchestras/ensembles and choirs, as well as a lively outward-facing operation. Music should be built on joy, and playing together is an important path to that! JOB DESCRIPTION You will be responsible for teaching saxophone and clarinet students at the music school, as well as leading wind ensembles/wind orchestras. You have experience teaching both individually and in groups. You are accustomed to organizing concerts/projects independently and/or together with colleagues and inspiring students to participate in ensemble playing. Teaching takes place in Staffanstorp on Mondays and Tuesdays. The position is a part-time employment. QUALIFICATIONS It is important that you demonstrate your pedagogical experience and competence in your application. We are looking for someone with a music college degree focused on both saxophone/clarinet and pedagogy. You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with individuals in various contexts and functions. You encourage student learning and willingly share knowledge that is useful for the organization and your colleagues. You have the ability to plan and organize your work, as well as follow up and complete activities. Recruiting students is part of the job and largely falls under your own responsibility. Teaching takes place in Staffanstorp on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is advantageous if you have a B driver's license and access to your own car.
