On-site at the school, in addition to teachers and administration, there is a full-time special education teacher and special educators assigned to each team in grades 7, 8, and 9. The school has a safety team with student coaches who, together with other staff, work on the social mission.
Our student health team includes a career counselor, school nurse, school psychologist, school counselor, and special education teacher. A speech therapist is also available if needed. We can offer a strong team for you to join as a teacher, both in terms of committed teaching colleagues and supportive resources.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strömstad Municipality is now making an investment in music education, and we are seeking two music teachers who want to work together to develop music instruction at Strömstiernaskolan.
You will work in a two-teacher system, where you plan and drive music instruction together, sharing ideas, inspiration, and responsibility. Together, you will create a creative and sustainable teaching approach where your strengths complement each other and students' joy of music takes center stage.
As a music teacher with us, you will inspire students to create and learn through music. You will plan and lead instruction with a formative approach and clear leadership, focusing on student participation and development. The assignment also includes planning and leading the school's summer and Christmas closing ceremonies.
We use Vklass as our digital learning platform for communication and documentation, and view digital tools as a natural part of instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a licensed music teacher who wants to help build and further develop the music subject together with a colleague.
You have good digital competence and naturally use digital tools in instruction, communication, documentation, and learning. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
As a person, you are calm and stable and have the ability to create a safe environment for all students. We also hope that you are curious and want to develop in your work. Your creativity is contagious and creates engagement and motivates learning. You are happy to contribute ideas and new ways of thinking to drive the organization forward.
