Katrineholm Schools offers a safe and developmental educational journey with a focus on creative learning. Within the Education and Labor Market Administration, we have preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, adapted secondary school, reception unit for newly arrived students, municipal activity responsibility, adult education, cultural school, technology school, central child and student health services, labor market unit, and Campus for higher studies.
Sandbäcksskolan is a preschool through 6th-grade school with integrated after-school activities, located in the eastern part of Katrineholm and surrounded by large green areas that provide excellent conditions for outdoor play and activities. We have five after-school departments with approximately 400 students. The after-school program has made significant progress in systematic quality work and has trained staff in all departments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work in the after-school program and school, focusing on student learning from a full-day perspective. The after-school educator/teacher will be involved in developing the after-school program based on operational goals and LGR 22. You will be able to stage learning and create a good environment for students' learning and development both in school and after-school. Creating positive relationships is a prerequisite for the job.
Work in the after-school program should be characterized by care, communication, participation, and knowledge. The position requires strong social competence expressed through interactions with students, parents, colleagues, and school management.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek candidates with an after-school education degree or a primary school teacher degree specializing in after-school activities.
Teaching certification is required.
As a person, you easily take initiative for new proposals and working methods. You start activities and achieve desired results. You have a good ability to move work forward and contribute to discussions.
It is important that you have good collaborative skills with others in the organization, recognize others' perspectives and competence, provide space for them in the group, and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively.
We want you to lead, motivate, and provide knowledge to others, being an excellent leader in all our learning environments. You should be able to lead a student group both in after-school activities and school.
