Road Construction Coordinator at the Swedish Transport Administration in Stockholm
This is a consultant assignment.
Full-time position.
The role involves close collaboration with the client, requiring high flexibility and cooperation skills.
Assignment
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and following up work on complex road infrastructure with a focus on traffic closures, operations, maintenance, work environment, and safety. The role involves coordination between internal and external stakeholders, management of infrastructure management systems, and conducting and developing training for personnel and actors.
Work Tasks
- Establish and anchor a calendar for upcoming traffic closures in consultation with other actors adjacent to complex road infrastructures, both internally and externally.
- Compile and analyze work orders reported in Maximo, with a particular focus on work environment and safety.
- Maintain daily contact and coordination with internal actors such as project managers and purchasers, and external actors like contractors, to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of complex road infrastructures.
- Initiate, lead, and document Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to manage changes affecting operation or safety in the facilities.
- Ensure internal coordination with the Swedish Transport Administration's other operational areas to guarantee efficient maintenance and operation implementation.
- Manage Traffic Closure Plans (TA plans) and the personal resource system ABBA, including continuous updates and quality assurance.
- Lead and document coordination meetings with contractors before planned traffic closures to ensure smooth and safe work processes.
- Respond to coordination inquiries regarding complex road infrastructures via email or phone and provide guidance to stakeholders.
- Responsible for conducting training for Swedish Transport Administration personnel and external actors on order and safety rules for complex road infrastructures.
- Continuously update and develop training materials for order and safety rules in complex road infrastructures to reflect changes in safety requirements and technical systems.
- Serve as the contact person for training and training material questions, providing guidance to internal and external actors needing information about safety requirements and training.
Requirements (MANDATORY)
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
- Technical university education (minimum bachelor's degree, 180 ECTS) or equivalent competence acquired through seven (7) years of experience as a consultant/employee or contractor/client
- At least three (3) years of experience coordinating work in complex infrastructure, especially road projects
- At least three (3) years of experience using Maximo maintenance system or equivalent infrastructure management system
- At least three (3) years of documented experience in time and resource planning for complex infrastructure projects
- At least three (3) years of experience planning and coordinating traffic closures
- Approved BAS-P and BAS-U training
- B driver's license
- Road Work Training, APV steps 1.1 and 1.2
- At least two (2) years of experience conducting and being responsible for training in safety, work environment, or technical systems in infrastructure projects
