About this role
Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing as the municipality develops, with more residents, more housing, and an expanding range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, unified by a common drive to create a better community to visit, live, work, and reside in.
Do you want to make a real difference for young people and their families? Do you have experience in leadership and a strong commitment to social change work? We are now looking for a coordinator for our newly established MST team - a role where you will combine leadership, collaboration, and development work in a meaningful everyday environment.
**Your New Job**
As a coordinator, you will lead a team of 3-4 therapists who work intensively and closely with families. The work is home-based, meaning the therapists primarily meet families in their homes and collaborate with, for example, police, schools, and youth leaders. Your responsibilities will include planning, leading, and supporting individual therapists in their daily work, as well as developing and driving group-level processes. The team will have weekly follow-ups and supervision sessions with you as the coordinator. Collaboration with authorities and their caseworkers, as well as with partners outside the team such as schools, police, and other essential functions, is a significant and crucial part of the role; you are also expected to have some client contact.
The youth and the youth’s family are our focus, and the goal is to change relationships and behavior, leading to better health, well-being, and satisfaction. On this journey, you as the coordinator will have contact with other stakeholders within IFO (Individual and Family Care) who can contribute to this goal. You will receive support from both your manager and representatives from MST. If you do not already have it, you will also undergo MST training. For more information about the method, visit http://www.mstsverige.se.
**Your Qualifications**
We are looking for someone who has completed a degree in social work, psychology, social pedagogy, or an equivalent higher education program of at least 180 credits that the employer considers equivalent. It is an advantage if you have completed step 1 of psychotherapy and/or have corresponding further education in systemic family therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Experience in family work, family therapy, or cognitive behavioral therapy is a requirement. Previous leadership experience is a merit. You should have good proficiency in both Swedish and English since consultations and training partly occur in English. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required as travel is part of the job. Further education in systems theory methods or qualified change work is also a plus.
As a person, you are independent and structured and have a good ability to adapt to different situations. You collaborate well with others, take responsibility, and possess a holistic perspective that helps you focus on what is most important. Additionally, you are secure, stable, and have a clear and effective communication style.
In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
**We Offer You**
As an employee of Jönköping Municipality, you will, of course, receive a secure employment and have access to general benefits such as a wellness allowance. Read more at https://www.jonkoping.se/jobba-hos-oss/jonkopings-kommun-som-arbetsgivare-/detta-far-du-nar-du-jobbar-hos-oss.
